Phu Quoc is a mountainous and densely forested Island with a total of 99 mountain peaks from the smallest being less than 100m to the largest Mount Chua at 603 meters.
In the north and north-east of the Island is the National Park which covers approximately 31,000 hectares of land, which accounts for more than 50% of the Island itself!
The park is drained by numerous, mainly seasonal streams leading to the Cua Can river, which in turn drains to the southern part of the park and flows into the sea at Cua Can on the west coast .
In terms of Flora, the park is an ideal natural environment for plant species with approximately.13,000 hectares of lowland evergreen forest equivalent to almost 40% of the total area of the park, to date 929 plant species have been recorded.
